Wally Ballago Seck is a Senegalese singer, songwriter, and guitarist who performs traditional Senegalese music with a modern twist. He will be performing at the KEMBA Live! on Saturday, November 26th, 2022. Seck’s music is a mix of traditional Senegalese rhythms and melodies with modern instruments and arrangements. His lyrics are in both Wolof and French, and often deal with social and political issues. Seck is an outspoken advocate for democracy and human rights in Senegal, and his music reflects this. He has been arrested and persecuted by the Senegalese government for his views, but he continues to speak out and make music that calls for change.
