Cake is a band that was formed in 1991 in Sacramento, California. The band currently consists of John McCrea (vocals, guitar), Xan McCurdy (guitar), Gabe Nelson (bass), Vince DiFiore (trumpet, keyboards, backing vocals), and Paulo Baldi (drums).
The band has released eight studio albums, with their most recent being 2016’s “Death of a Virgin.” Cake is known for their unique blend of alternative rock, funk, jazz, and country.
Cake has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, and they have won two MTV Video Music Awards.
